Biodiversity Data Publishing Interest Group

Description:

This group aims to be a platform for general discussion on issues related to BIODIVERSITY DATA PUBLISHING, including occurrence, names and metadata publishing, dataset registration with GBIF, intellectual property rights issues, etc.

All those involved on this process from data producers, managers, custodians, editors, aggegators and publishers are invited to join and share experiences, questions, best practices, success and failure cases and plans for the future.

This group hosted an Online Discussion about data publishing and fitness-for-use the 5-9 December 2011 (check the summary page here) and also served as a work platform for the speakers of the training course on "How to publish biodiversity data through the GBIF Network" held in Buenos Aires (Argentina) the 28-30 September 2011.
